Division Introduction

Livestock production in the LUKROM group includes poultry, pig and cattle breeding.

Poultry farming and pig breeding is provided by the livestock production division under the parent company. In contrast, cattle breeding is ensured for LUKROM group by primary agricultural enterprises.

Among them are Agroječmínek Inc., ZEAS Bánov Inc. and Tozos Ltd.

POULTRY AND PIG BREEDING 
Poultry breeding: The primary program of the division involves broiler breeding. The division works with other suppliers and breeders, who provide supply of day-old chicks for breeding and buying fattened poultry.

BROILER FARMS
Major suppliers and customers of fattened poultry:
Pig breeding: The main task is to provide piglets for fattening and subsequently their sale to slaughterhouses. Piglet rearing takes place on the farm Bábolna, where there are 900 sows. Genetics form the Hybrides France breed, which has a higher fertility among mothers and a high proportion of meat. The most important customer for fattened pigs is MAKOVEC Inc., Kostelec n.Hané. The centre works closely with primary production businesses TOZOS Ltd., Agrovit, Inc. and Lukrom plus Ltd. In accordance with EU guidelines, the farms all underwent a gradual reconstruction. Our aim is to adhere to these directives, thus, all our technology and animal housing on the farms comply with EU requirements.
